Looking for constructive criticism. I'm a writer so I can handle whatever you have to dish out.

Here's what I'm wondering about... do I sound to arrogant? Anything off-putting about my blurb?

Cheers and thanks in advance for your feedback!

You might put in it a little of what you are looking for in a possible match.

And, instead of being a little philosophical about happiness, you could say, "happiness is not a fish that you can catch, yet life is bittersweet and you wish to share your life with someone." (Wait, I should have put that in my profile!)

I am always interested in the "intelligence factor", so listing what authors you like is a definite plus.

Tell us you want to find someone to share in that movie experience, instead of going it alone.

Sometimes men are intimidated by a very intelligent woman. They are at times more concerned about the package, but not its contents. Simple knuckles dragging beasts that they are, but we still do need their sperm now don't we? lol! Not all men live in caves now~a~days & I hear that they take baths now too! lol! But then some still eat with their hands & kill wild animals.
Cut out a little of the reading & authors, put in something about your life, job, family, friends, pets, etc. Definitely cut out the movies by yourself part, seems a bit lonely. Re~write it as a letter to a friend would be a cool idea. Blessings, Ms. Vflowerforyou

I agree with everything said above ... you're off to a great start (spoken by someone who's been here less than a week embarassed). You sound like the kind of person I'd love to hang out with (Jane Austen AND Bourne -- that's so me! happy) My only suggestion? Maybe cut it down a wee bit, some people will only take the time to skim, so try to give your best 'highlights' (goes back to re-write her own profile huh).

Best of luck - and don't water down the intelligence factor ... I'm holding out hope that that's still a great selling feature!

Okay... with ALL your comments in mind, I made some edits to my profile.

Better? Or have I resisted all your efforts to help? I know it's still lengthy... I'll trim it down once the content is "right".

Thanks all!

And ElaineSeekingJerry... thanks for the advice to keep the intelligence factor in. I've held back on that in the past only to get burned once I let my brain out of the closet! I think you're right that it should be a selling feature.
