I have a question. Did Dragon’s really exist at one time? I ask this because for many centuries when many of the civilizations thought the earth is flat and didn’t have ways of travelling quickly there are recordings of dragons written. The Chinese, Europe, Scandinavian, Middle East, and even Indians mention of seeing dragons once. What are you thoughts on this?

Oh before I forget if you are interested in joining a fantasy game then put your name on my list by emailing me your first name. These dragon’s are dangerous and really exist!

Yup, I think that it is a very real possibility that some form of dragons existed. It could just be that those stories were taken off of dinosaurs and rewritten. Although I do think that in a sense there could have been dragons. Just probably not as we see them in the movies. Just big lizards that can fly. drinker

Dragons exist today!

They just don't have wings or breathe fire.

They are isolated to one Island.

Kimodo Dragons...although I'm pretty sure they don't count.

I seriously believe they did and still exist. Just as all "mythological" creatures but are just very well hidden and can only be seen by those who truly believe in their existence....

P.S. never get into an argument with a gnome about dirt.

Good topic! drinker

Have not uncovered any "factual" evidence of dragons ever existing. but there is certainly a lot of myths and legends on the subject.

What's interesting about dragons, is they are not culture specific. Dragons have been written about in most parts of the world throughout history from a wide range of cultures.

So to say they actually existed at one time, there is no physical proof (some legends say dragons hybernate and come out every 10,000 years). But with so many cultures having the same types of descriptions and such, I could see something having at least a base for all of this to build on.

Just something to think about. Again, great post! drinker
