i dont know if anyone can answer this question for me.. i had a heart valve replacement about 3yrs ago. and so im taking coumadian (blood thinner) and it usually causes brusis on your legs. well i notice within the past month or so i have two big brusis on both my thighs where they tend to itch and they bleed a little bit. so i have been using some cream, but that seem to dry my skin out more and it makes it itch more... i do have apt with my coumidan nurse soon. so should i let her know...

yes...maybe you need an adjustment of the level of strychnine you are currently taking

Maybe they need to adjust your levels, of course I would tell her anything that changes. Coumadin will cause a bruise anytime you bump yourself, I know...I've been on it.

Please let the nurse know...

Of course you should mention it but in the meantime, try soaking in a hot bath with Epsom Salts and then applying some Gold Bond medicated lotion to the itchy parts.

coumadin is something you have to really be careful with...i have a client who is on it and we really have to be careful that she doesn't fall or bleed...definately tell the nurse if you are concerned.
