Anyone have them? Remedies, cures, suggestions? Im a skater and its KILLING my game, literally. It frusterates me to the point of tears, and I dont cry. I have the ability to skate and the pain brings me to my knees. I have other sports injuries as well...so if your a gamer and have battled muscle issues. Please let me know.

Short of taping your ankles up with duct tape, I'm not aware of any remedies or treatments.

Its not my ankles. I was off of skates for almost 5 months and I feel like Im back at square one. Its insane they can transplant a heart but cant fix little tears in muscles.

look at this website. I had shin splints because i used to run everyday...a lot of the pain, for me, was from the wrong shoes. Hope this helps! flowerforyou

I had shin splints long time ago from running. I remember rest and getting better tennis shoes with more support.

Muscle takes longer to heal than bone.

I know they hurt.flowerforyou

I used to get shin splints from in spring when I started running/walking again. I found that often it's the shoes so in your case, how old are your skates? And...I just walked thru it... not pushing it too too much, but I wouldn't stop completely until my legs got used to it all again. Aspirin and hot soaks help too.

edited to add, if the pain is that bad, you might have torn something so could be something a doc should have a look at.
