Topic: Arrest Bush | |

every time I fill up my gas tank the bush policies effect me. I make choices weekly on how to stretch my now nearly worthless dollars due to the bush policies my soon expected tax rebate will help shore up my checking account against future gas increases and will mostly go to the oil companies in the end. How lame to pick one of the poorest countries on the planet and compare it to ours as if that makes your argument valid its shaky logic at best. This country is blessed with an educated working class and natural rescources unlike india and many other former colonies it didnt spend a hundred years of being exploited and under developed. If I had to choose about visiting troops in Iraq I think I would rather visit the halliburton crowd or KBR crowd since they are paid far more than our troops and live much more well off. Granted gas prices are higher now....but it is not just the Bush policies that affect this. Last year exxon mobile passed wal-mart as the biggest profit maker. The gas prices really don't need to be as high as they are...they are using the iraq war as an excuse to drive up the prices even farther just to get a bigger profit. Also the reason i picked India is because I have been there recently, And it definitly changed my outlook on the U.S. and what we do have here. I agree with Leno, we are a bunch of spoiled brats. The things that really should count..do not matter anymore. We would rather complain...than just be glad for what we do have. |

what does Leno have to complain about anyhow? he has made millions with his limited comedic ability. He is non controversial and serves General electric the owner of NBC. I would go so far as to say Leno has betrayed his fan base with such a letter as you posted. jay Leno and NBC have a vested interest in the Bush tax cuts and a war economy in general. Sorry I dont get excited about the running water I pay for or the electricty I pay for or the food I pay for all of wich has grown more expensive far beyond normal inflations.

Ok so you have to stretch your dollar, but be thankful that you are able to buy it. But i'm done debating. Besides it has gotten off topic. |
