my dad died while on duty in the military and if my 17 yr old son wants to join...i would be very proud. right now he wants a degree to become a cop...still proud. but i come from a long line of service men and alot of friends in the service (some are on border patrol now)

Being a soldier is an honorable profession. Soldiers don't start wars, politicians do. So they are honored and should be. They do what they are told to do. The warmongers are the power hungry governments who order the soldiers to do what they want. Hopefully the day will come when the job will not be needed anymore and then they can live in peace too. i second this

How can you be honorable when you just follow orders whether you do right or wrong ?. Who is kidding whom here ?. You follow orders even if it means killig innocent BABIES .  .

Wars are unnessary crap unless your own country is invaded and then you have the right to defend it with all the might you have . A human should always avoid wars . If you follow crazy politicians , then you are crazy too ! . Pure and simple . |

The truth is always hurtful when people pretend something they are not . If there is no balance of power ,then it is not a war ; it is bulling and injustice and craziness !. .
I love peace for all humans and everywhere !. Wars are things of the crazy past : now ,people want peace ,wealth ,health and happiness . Wars do not give these wonderful things . Do not hide the truth . |

we are not heartless creatures...
there are many of us who do not support the war 
but who love & support our American Soldiers
and Soldiers and military from any Country
whose intentions are ultimately for peace...
i'm not political at all,
and
i don't want to debate with you, Brother
... i have no problem with you at all...
i understand what you are saying...
and i know that the results of war can be tragic ...
all i can do is pray for there to be an end to war
that peace will be restored to the Earth once more
and that the Lion will once again lay down with the Lamb
