spider,

This entire discussion is founded upon our beliefs and opinions concerning the subject matter at hand.

Rapture, the term itself, is not found in the Bible, it is a sensationalized term describing the events which are interpreted by man to mean certain things. If a verbatim discussion was had the term would not be used.

What makes one's opinion have any more or less merit than any other? We all see things according to that which we perceive.

No rights... No wrongs...

The fact that the word isn't used has no bearing. I really am ashamed that you are stooping to this level of intellectual dishonesty. You are too smart to argue this way. It's truely shameful. Rapture is a word that was applied to a series of events described in the Bible. It's easier to say "Rapture" than to quote 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17 "For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive [and] remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord."

Rapture is latin for "caught up". 1 Thessalonians was written in Greek. Of course "Rapture" isn't in Greek...it's a different language! It's like saying "There was nobody in the Bible named Jesus." Technically true! But "Jesus" is understood to be a poorly translated version of "Yahsua Bin Josef". Please don't argue this sort of pointless and silly arguments. They make my opinion of you less than it deserves. You are better than that.

spider,

You are misunderstanding me, I believe... words inherently remove value from concepts by definition.

Definitions create boundaries and close minds to further considerations.

I am not at all dismissing the importance of the notion to the Christian belief system.

Opposites always exist, and although I agree with what you have said about the joyful nature of the rapture, in and of itself, it also invokes a furthered understanding of what happens to those who are not involved in the events. That is what I have heard professed the most by some pastors and believers.

I truly was just stating my opinion based upon my own personal acceptances, not meaning to argue. :wink:

I appreciate your honoring my character... and I thank you.

flowerforyou Your right JeannieBeanflowerforyou This type of contact is normally in the form of an alien abduction, which is almost always a frightful, life-changing experience. We must remember, however, that there are those who claim benefit from these encounters, in the form of enlightenment, spiritual healing, and an ongoing connection with a more intelligent "big brother." People have claimed to have had diseases cured, emotional and mental problems alleviated, and their lives totally altered positively by these beings from beyond. But those who are less fortunate have been treated like lab rats, tagged like cattle, and humiliated by sexual experimentation and other invasive medical procedures. Women have even claimed to have been impregnated-later having their fetuses removed. Often at a later time, they may get to meet their long lost "hybrid child from the stars." Then they say good-bye to them.
All of this must be carefully considered while science is trying to make contact with another civilization from the vastness of space. Who made the decision that we should desirously seek this alien contact? Those who so desperately wait for that signal may not know what they might find out there. And they are speaking for the entire human race. We must never believe that the absence of contact equates to absence of other intelligence. Maybe they don't want to make contact with us as a people, or maybe they are waiting for just the right time to make their presence known. When and if that times comes, what will we be facing?-the beneficial, neighborly big brothers, or the heartless, crass, and calculating scientists who force their will on us. Just food for thought: be careful what you wish for, you just might get it.

For slaves, but mostly for our bodies. (They want to use our DNA to engineer better bodies for themselves.)

That makes no sense. Humans have an extremely limited gene pool. One researcher stated that the whole human race has as much genetic diversity as a small tribe of Chimps. Try again.

Spider, if you don't want to consider the information I present for consideration, that is really okay with me. The alien question is very involved and I don't really wish to elaborate.

I am not trying to convince you or anyone about it. But I will answer your questions as best as I can, being very unscientific minded.

About 95% of our DNA is called "Junk DNA" and is not understood by our scientists. If they do understand the true spiritual function of DNA they do not want us to know about it.

It has to do with spiritual evolution. Spiritual evolution is where the aliens are lacking and they seek to unravel, (with their technology,) that which makes us human as they seek to be more human. (It can't be done.)

They are trying to take short cuts in their own spiritual enlightenment and evolution.

They also want us for food. Don't humans use animals for both beasts of burden, and food? What ever we are good for. But it is also a spiritual war. They want our spiritual energy.

That makes no sense. Why eat an intelligent species that can fight back?

Humans don't offer much resistance as they have been deeply infiltrated. Most governments (especially ours) deny the existence of the aliens.

Most people I meet deny the existence of aliens and are quick to call me completely delusional.

Why not eat something that doesn't take 20+ years to mature?

Actually the ones who do eat humans prefer children. They don't take 20 years and they can be found everywhere. (Not all aliens eat human flesh.

Why are they being so careful to take over the world peacefully and then eat us? Couldn't they just show up, collect a couple thousand and come back when they are hungry?

That has also been said to have been done. Little known villages in third world countries have completely vanished.

It's bad Sci-fi. Poorly thought out. Sorry, but I don't think you or the people you have listened to have put much actual thought into what you believe.

On the contrary I have put a lot of thought into the information I have considered. For years I completely ignored the alien question but every information road I went down eventually lead to the alien piece of the puzzle. I could no longer ignore it.

Many things did not make sense when the alien idea was left out. I did consider other options, but they did not all add up.

*********************

Other options:

1. Mass hallucinations. (UFO sightings)

2. Experimental air craft. (Does not explain many things and simply looks like a cover-up.)

3. Thousands of people abducted: Experiments of a government mind control techniques. (A worse idea than aliens I think.)

4. A fraud perpetrated on the people to convince them of an extraterrestrial enemy in order to force the formation of a one world government. (Suggests such a massive conspiracy I find it more unbelievable than the presence of aliens.)

5. Hallucinogenics drugs in our water. (Again does not hold water in most cases.)

6. People making up stuff so they can write books make money or get attention. (This might apply to a small percentage.)

************************

And as I have said before, I only evaluate and consider information. Rather than turn a blind eye to specific information I don't want to believe, I look at all of it (no matter how ridiculous and unbelievable) and assume that there is at least a purpose or agenda and maybe some truth to it.

This information sits to the side while I piece together a large puzzle which I call my personal "world view."

When a piece of information fits, it is added to the puzzle.

It is a loosely held temporary belief system that is subject to adjustment when necessary. I am sure it has many flaws. (I have met some people who have very similar conclusions as I do.)

It may all be complete fantasy for all I know. I could be dreaming this entire reality. bigsmile flowerforyou

JB,

I should have stopped communicating with you long ago when I first recognized that your expressions were being based upon things that I do not recognize about myself. As I have said in similar times past, it would require a deliberate dissection of your expressions and more time than it is worth. Even then, the much needed recognition that is required for a true perspective is quite doubtful.

I will not waste my time on a fruitless endeavor. I see little good coming from our continued exchanges.

Thank you for the dialogue.

flowerforyou

My expressed impression of you was done in a friendly teasing spirit of fun and trust. I think you misinterpreted that. I completely misjudged your reaction, and it seems to me (even still) that you were bothered by it.

I actually enjoy our exchanges, but then I do so love a challenge. The challenge I find in communicating with you is in getting a strait forward and direct answer. laugh laugh laugh

Don't ever be concerned with my opinions. They are completely irrelevant to you and important only to me. But I always do try to be honest, however flawed that perception might be.

UFOs exist, the proof is undeniable. Thousands of people make reports yearly of strange lights performing impossible maneuvers that traditional earth-bound aircraft, commercial, military, etc; could never accomplish. While most of the world's governments try to deny the reality of their existence, they blame the sightings on natural aerial phenomenon, the planet Venus, swamp gas, weather balloons or mass hysteria.

Whether you buy into the culturally biased, mass-media induced viewpoints, or if you choose to think on your own; there is one ultimate truth that the world is afraid to accept...the reality that we are not alone in the universe, the proof is here, the proof is real, accept the truth...Aliens the Truth

Well they say what doesn't destroy us, makes us stronger.
frown

But I say that to be abducted, is an assault no matter how enlightened one thinks they have become by the experience.

Brainwashing, memory tampering, chip implanting, all go along with even the most enlightening abductions. All without the conscious permission of the abductee.

There are many different groups, with many different agendas. I am not going to say that they are all bad. I just don't know. I will say that I don't want any contact with them myself.

It's now obvious that Junk DNA is used as instructions to the protein coding DNA. We share most of our "Junk DNA" with every mammal on the planet.

Obvious? Hardly. And since this research has been purchased and is now under the control of private corporations you can't be certain that you are getting truthful information anyway.

I have not done a lot of research on these things yet, so I for one am not making any conclusions or being so quick to accept what the 'powers that be' are telling us.

Yes, it is something to be considered.

If humans are marked with the mark of "the beast" it reminds me of when Hitler forced Jews to wear arm bans marking them to be identified as Jews.

There is a current plan in effect to put chips in all cattle to track the cattle industry. They also have chip available for your pets, and even for humans who want them.

If you have ever read the Protocols of the Elders of Zion, they (what ever race wrote it) consider anyone who is not of their superior blood line to be animals and less than human or beasts.

I don't believe that the original Jews had anything to do with the writing of the Protocols. More than likely, they are a different race of beings or even an alien strain who call themselves Jews but are not. But getting into that is more dangerous than talking about aliens. bigsmile

I see your point JB. It's scary how science at some points is trying to diminish the human dignity.
However, in thread i posted time ago I was referring to the fact the we could be consider antichrist when we do things against my Lord. (ofcourse this applies to those who believe in my Lord and Savior, i don't expect u to apply it in ur life, after all is just myth. ain't it?laugh )
Anti means one who is opposed.
When I sin I'm opposed to Christ.
Therefore, It follows that when I sin I'm an antichrist.

Yes I have heard that point of view before and I agree, that in general, if you are working against humanity that you are also working against the God of the most high, and that you are considered to be in sin, for you are going against God's plan for the expansion of life in the universes and you are siding with the Lucifer rebellion, which is anti-christ and which rebelled against the father creator and his son in the beginning.

The "anti-christ" could be anyone who is an enemy to mankind, who enslaves us, degrades and dehumanizes us, controls and manipulates us. An enemy to humanity, freedom and free will is an enemy to the creator.

JB

P.S. I try to consider all information valid, even so-called "myths."

From the net...

If you add up the name 'George Bush' in Hebrew letters it comes out:

* G = 3 (gimel)
* e = 5 (heh)
* o = 70 (ayin)
* r = 200 (resh)
* g = 3 (gimel)
* e = 5 (heh)
* B = 2 (beth)
* u = 70 (ayin)
* s = 300 (shin)
* h = 8 (cheth)
* total = 666 (Antichrist)
