Embrace your new home for what it is.
As one who has traveled and lived in different places, I find it is easier if you dont compare the bad and good between the new place and the old. People tend to get defensive.
Learn to accept the new as they are first, learn what its about and who the people are. (history and traditions)
Once you make friends then they will ask you about the old, but even then avoid being critical of your new home. Even if you feel something may deem criticism. As time passes you will find it easier..

Been here over 3 yrs..maybe I need to socialize more than just going to work eh?
