My first kitty was Boo-Boo. I lived in Georgia and was 5. A boy came to the door with a kitten in his arms. Said a german shepherd had killed the mom-cat and 5 other kittens, and the one he had was the only survivor. She was my best friend, even tried to have her kittens in my lap. She was the quintessential lady her whole life. My Mom finally put her down at 19 years old. God blessed Boo-Boo and God blessed me with Boo-Boo.

I used to have a cat. He was my best friend. He even saved my keester on one occasion-

I was in the back yard, digging out some weeds, when the neighbor's mean-as-heck dogs somehow made their way in. They saw me and just about charged their way toward me where they'd turn me into dog food. I wasn't close enough to my back door to try to run for it, and all I had was a trawl (which I was digging up the weeds with) which wasn't much of a weapon in the least.

I thought I was pretty much screwed.

That is, until my cat rushed in between me and those dogs. It was then where it's tail poofed out like a bottle brush and its ears pinned their way back so far they were touching each other. It was pretty just ITCHIN' for those dogs to start something.

Those dogs, seeing the feline apocalypse they had stirred up in front of them, hi-tailed it out of the backyard with said feline apocalypse hot on their heels behind them. I had to chase my cat to keep from getting HIM killed once those dogs figured out they both outnumbered AND outsized that cat of mine.

He ate REALLY well that night.

I have a long haired mix tiger. She is phsycho, but I love her to death and she cracks me up watching her. She loves to attack feet, even in ripe old age of 12. I have always had cats throughout my life and hopefully I will be lucky in always being able to have cats.

In order for a relationship to succeed, the man has to get along with my friends and my cat. There is a method to that maddness, can't explain but it always works out that way.

We have a little black cat with something wrong with it. She can't keep her balance. She's always falling off the chairs and the tables. Even if she's just walking or sitting, she falls right over.

We call her Tippi.
