I've had more friends that I though fit the "soul mate" label than b/fs. So, I don't really don't associate it with romance, but it would be ideal if they happened together. Now that would really be something!  I have found 2 Soul Mates in this life..and neither one of them is a guy.  One is my mom and the other is my sister.  I love close families!

I have read it described as a person who holds all the keys to locks which you did not even know existed within you, and vice-versa...
My personal words concerning are below... Someone that feels my words...and hears my touch Knows who I am... Understands the heart within...adds and reflects Cherishes our growth...knows to trust One who can and will love as I One who brings me up...should I be down Simple in love...complex in thought Effortless laughter...natural love One who loves my sight...and I hers A mirror with what has been missing The perfect "differences" Purity in intention...shameless in love Courage to explore...contentment to absorb A smile that reflects the heart... And eyes which see the truth One who can share love by a glance Who can feel at ease within me One who I have known for so long Familiar heart and easy in life |

I think I might have found my "romantic" Soul Mate years ago but he passed away.

It's that one special person you have a kind of impossible-to-explain-or-even-categorize connection with. The one who sneaks into the back of your mind -- or even the front -- every time there's an open neuron available. The one person who makes you think "This would be so much better if only _______ was here with me," no matter what it is you're doing. Or not doing. The one who knows you, knows all your flaws and weaknesses and weird little habits that would drive anyone else out of your life, but they love you anyway. You know the old line about people who finish each other's sentences? Well, with a soulmate, sometimes you even start each other's sentences. a soulmate is not something to believe in but someone to experience!
perhaps different people do not experience this the same way. perhaps there is an issue with semantics or terminology. i've had a few and because of this i am sure that there must be many many more with whom i could share the same experience again.... |

A chemical and spiritual attraction to another...I wrote this poem a few years back on such a chemistry..

A soul mate is someone you have lived a previous life with.
You could have been family, friend, enemy. When you meet again in this lifetime, you are drawn to them unequivically to anyone else. There are many kinds of soulmates. Like I said you have soulmates that you were enemies with in a previous life. You will continue to meet eaach other until your lessons are learned from one another. There is alot of "energy" in soul mates, romantic soul mates rarely work out. The enegy that is shared between the two people and then if you add sexual energy into the mix, you will burn each other out. Alot of time soul mates that were enemies in a past life end up romantic in this one, simply because of the passion they feel for each other, but when you get right down to it... it wasn't healthy passion. Soul mates are lesons in life...stop looking for them, they will find you. |

Everything in your life is carried over from one life to the next..even people..their roles change but you still "recognize" them..Like my mom..I actually believe that she may have been my sister in a past life..twin sister actually..hell we are damn near twins in this life cept for the fact that we are 20yrs apart.
..and my sister..Well..she's actually my best friend in this life but we call each other sisters now because we know we were sisters before..so we figured we'd just keep it goin'
