Sorry all....but I dont see where it is rude to put someone on hold to answer another call... If I am on the phone with someone I am dating and my daughter calls? Guess what? Your going on hold..... I agree, but I usually see who it is, and if it's someone I care about, I tell the other person I will call them back, not put them on hold.

Or you could call him, and get right down to breaking it off, then say..oh can you hold on a minute, someone else is calling. Then hang up!

THAT is wrong, he should at least come back to you and say I need to call you back or something..I would hang up after 3 minutes of being on hold

THAT is wrong, he should at least come back to you and say I need to call you back or something..I would hang up after 3 minutes of being on hold He has done that before, when it's his mom, or brother, but when the ex calls, he seems to forget he put me on hold!

Sorry to hear it (((Redsox))). You're a real sweetheart! I don't believe many are really suited for long distance love. I know I would not be able to do it. I have to have my guy by my side, or I'm utterly heartbroken and twice as lonely as when I have no one. As for the phone calls, if they're business, that's one thing. I'm sooo guilty of that one, but if they're personal and not very pressing, that's a whole different thing isn't it? That would make me feel bad too. You have to act on what you're feeling and it's not easy to do. Good luck whatever you decide hon...you have friends galore to keep you cheerful...remember we're here!

I know all that, I have to figure out what to say without hurting him! By not saying anything, who are you hurting, and yes, you are hurting someone.
