We all joke around and talk about everybody with a "Blue Box" should up load a photo of themselves. But why? Why do you feel the need to see a person's photo right away? I started talking to this guy who picture was a "Blue Box", and like most of you I was skeptical not seeing the face behind the words, but it has been one of the best conversations I have ever had. It is almost like a breath of fresh air. The conversations are so insightful. It is like conversations I have never had talking to a person with a face.

So what about you? Is it a nessesity to see the person behind the words? Or can you get to know a person before seeing the face?

blue boxes don't bother me....

But what I don't understand why people with photo's of things other than themselves feel like it's OK to say something about it.

At least they aren't pretending to be something they aren't....like a cartoon caracter or animal.

I believe it give people more of an idea of what you are like. that is the only reason it usually makes a difference to me.

Why does it just have to be a blue box why can't it be a different color box or a drawing or some kind of picture in there. Anything actually. Why should a lot of people be shallow about not seeing who they are talking to? As long as you are having a great conversation why should anyone care what anyone looks like?

I do not have a problem if a pic is not of them and is a cartoon or something else along those lines. It still gives you a little insight of the person. Seeing the kind of person they are like.

I take it as given everyone an equal chance with or with out a face. Who knows if the faces they are showing us are their true self anyhow. Plus communication is a big factor for me as it is oh and laughter. If we can't hold good convos and you can not make me laugh then there is no point in anything else regardless of looks.

It's more what they like or love to show and express themselves.
For me I have Mario on mine and I love that caractor...

I rather see a cartoon character or anything than the blue box.
I agree that it shows more of the person's character and all that jazz.

If you're trully looking for "friends first," the box is fine.

I'm always scared it's my ex-wife trying to figure a way to get more alimony though.
