Anybody here a packrat?
 Do you keep letters from decades ago or do you tend to keep items until they are yellow and on its last leg??

I am the packiest of all rats, I keep everything! I have stuff from when I was like 2 years old, books and stuff. Toys. Anything I have even the slightest sentimental attachment to, I keep. |

Yes, mostly stuff dates back early 2001 and forward. I think I may even have a few things from the 90's as well. I can't seem to part with for some reason.

Let's put it this way.....my mom was given a teddy bear piggy bank as a gift in a baby shower for me. I'll be 23 in September, so you can figure how long I've had it. Dolls, bears, oh and I have every letter and card AND email my best friend and I have ever wrote to one another....yeah I'm real bad!

If I don't remember having it with in a year or don't remember what was so important about it... I toss it... I hate clutter!!

Hey those times were worth the memories when times were sweet and innocent. Heck I have a Huge poster I bought when I was 16 it is a Doodle Art Poster and the scene is a Jungle kewl as heck it is rolled up in the tube I bought it in in my closet to this day going to frame it and put it up one day. But then I have things that was my mothers as well as my grandmothers. I have marbles that were mine and my brothers we played with in school. |

I wonder why we hold on to things like this huh??? I have things from waaaaaaay back too and only now i am trying to get rid of it

I still have all my Charlie Brown Valentine cards from Kindergarten.
There are only certain things I hang onto though...photos, letters and cards are easy enough to stow. I get them out and go down memory lane every couple of years.
