Ever had a bunch of things from an ex and then destroy them. Only to later wish you'd never done it in the first place? Or have you never thought about it again.

I had a big bonfire and burned a bunch of things an ex gave me. A lot of things that had bad memories attached to them, so I may have regreted it later, but it was for the best in the end.

Nope I just give stuff away I don't have a need for anymore....that way it's away from me and someone else gets some use out of it.....

i tore up pictures of my ex husband


and after that ...

we made peace with one another

before he passed on into eternity at age 49


and i wish i hadn't done it..


for the sake of our children


and for my own good memories ...

even though people divorce...

still...

there were some good times .....

hopefully....with most people, i think...

and happy memories, too...

if we would allow ourselves that

and we need to cherish those

and try to dispose

of bad memories

I once gave a guy back everything he ever gave me. He had really really let me down though...I was pretty upset.

My ex girlfriends NEW boyfriend called me one night months after we had slit.
Tells me at 2am that I need to come and get my stuff, as SHE wanted nothing left behind of me...
AS that drive was 120 miles I told him to trash my stuff, he said NO, SHE didn't want to do that.
He then(now fighting with him at 2 am,lol)tells me HE WANTS ALL MY $HIT IN THIS BOX GONE as they reminded HER of ME,lol
I laughed and said EVERYTHING in her apartment from lamps to tv and EVERYTHING had came from ME,,,SO I said JUST START PUTTING EVERYTHING SHE HAS OUTSIDE AND I AND MY TRUCK WILL BE THERE AT FIRST LIGHT....
I went back to bed,,,,,loland
WHO KNOWS if he did od didn't do THAT?????,lol
But yea,,stuff can be a problem,,,,,lol

Wow! I think it's sad if someone doesn't want a memory of your time together. I regretted giving him everything back almost immediately...but I was young and acting rash out of pain and anguish. I'm sorry she was so harsh about it.

Nope. As a matter of fact I have several of my ex's things...I plan on packing them up and shipping them to him. Socks and warm clothing...he will need them to keep him warm

i've never been in a relationship long enough where they kept their crap at my house

I burned almost all of the stuff we ever shared. Pics, notes, poetry, songs, cd's everything. Managed to get a few of the things I gave her back just to make sure nothing happened to them.

I made sure he had everything that was his and he took things that wasn't......no reason to return.....

I left my dignity behind.

I'm okay now. I can log in here 21 hours per day in lieu of therapy.

I put it on E-bay!!

That's not very ECO-FRIENDLY...Better go plant a tree.
