I am a DJ so I have to play it sometimes. To be honest I think it's ok until the words Bltches,or Mother F*ckers or all that other crazy stuff. Don't get me wrong I use those words all the time but I don't think it's appropriate in music. And I don't like the violence.

I'm sure my opinions dont matter, but I grew up in a westside town in upstate ny..in the 80's and I remember when the kids from the black community would have the LL Cool J style boom boxes up on there shoulders..playing everything from Kurtis Blow,Run DMC,Grand Master Flash,Houdini,Ice T,Sugarhill Gang to Beastie Boys and LL himself.Late night basketball at our crappy playground, some attempts to breakdance, freestyle rap and music always played. Those are the days I wish I could have been a teenager through, but unfortunately in 1984..I was 7..so I missed out on a lot of good times..but I did get a window view to a piece of black culture that I respect to this day.

The song is a soft rap more R&B to me Almost a old LL.cool J song lol

I D.J and remix and do mash ups so i like some rap i'm mostly into Old school Atomic dog (the bow wow yippie yo song) SoS band gap band etc along with rock and techo top 40 some old swing and jazz

Music is not just beats and sounds is has alot of culture behind it the more you hear and listen the more you learn
and there's nothing wrong with that

Exactly But you might not live in a area that sees this violence and where the artist had grown up in and i bet theres alot of areas like that and people can relate to it ...look at punk rock in the late 70's early 80's sex pistol's etc

Hell i wanted to get violent my first time in myrtle beach ..the #1 song there at the time was achy breaky heart i heard it 13 times in 8 hours lol that and those dam south of the border signs lol
