I agree with the two posters on the drums. That's my instrument of choice as well. Only one real bad thing about them..they don't travel well and you can't just carry them around with you like a guitar or a harp. drinker laugh bigsmile

I have played guitar, bass, and keyboards in several bands. Even dabbled with the mandolin. My favorite instrument is an old Sequential Circuits Pro One synthesizer with three oscillators and two sequencers. Nothing pre-set about that baby.

Guitar I've played for 30 years, Bass for 20, piano for 7 but my favourit instrument has got to be the bagpipes, I love the way they sound, I have a friend who's great grand father left him a set of haunted pipes, by which I mean the drones and chanter are made from men's thigh bones who were slain in battle. The sound that came out of those pipes was extremely erie. Truely haunted. ever since then I've tried to learn on the crappy chanter I have.

Oh and the Bodhran is cool too.....

That's cool! GREAT instrument! drinker

There is a guy by the name of Jim Stafford. He has been in a couple of older movies, but is more known for his standup comedy. He had a place in Branson, MO. (not sure if its still there).

The man is INCREDIBLE on the acoustic and plays an INCREDIBLE 12 string!!! You might want to take a look just to see. AWESOME talent! drinker

Wow ! That's great! A lot of guitarists here too! Lex may have to put you over on keyboard, since we are lacking in that area of the JSH band. drinker laugh

Music is such a great thing. And I love watching musicians. It's such an incredible talent to do what everyone does.

I tried to play guitar for about a year and a half when I was young..and I practiced! But I simply do not have the talent in the fingers to be real good. I could play the slow stuff, but never would be good enough to even be considered a "good" guitarist. So I jumped over to the drums and found it a lot more my style.

But to me, there is almost nothing that can compare to great music. To all those with the talent, I salute you! drinker drinker drinker
