He must be imature and insecure. Since high school my bestest friends arte girls. That might be due to the fact that I'm the only boy in my family. The boyfriend just have to deal with it. I don't have any problem with my future girlfriend having a boy friend. But there a limits.!!!

Also everything depends on how they are firends too. If she is all the time with the firends, not good

Immaturity, indeed. Jeaously occurs when one person views the other as property, not as a human being.

I would tell the boyfriend to deal with his jelousy before returning to my house. If he can't deal w/ it.....then don't return! Jealousy is a form of control and has no place in a relationship. JMO

Serious question here. I know jealousy has "controlling" attributes..but isn't jealousy a direct result of insecurity?? flowerforyou

And to the topic itself, it is very poasible for opposite sexes to be best of friends .. just as long as there is no real sexual attraction..because that can really mess a friendship up. flowerforyou

Yes I will agree that jealousy is a form of insecurity. I also think that "controlling" is due to insecurities.ohwell

If your daughter and her friends are minors you could possibly held accountable if someone were injured or worse. That depends upon the laws of your state. This is kind of a guy thing so to speak and has been going on forever. Since they come over to your place of residence, it's up to you to set the rules and make them clear to all parties. Happens again, call the authorities. Those two fellas sound like their no strangers to the clink.

I have men friends.

Men I've dated have female friends.

Never been a problem.

In fact, I find it hard to be upset with anyone who is friends with my guy. They obviously have very good taste in friends. flowerforyou

If they begin to think they feel something more than friendship...that's for him to deal with and is not my place. It does happen...because I have good taste too. happy

Absolutely agree with that! Just wanted to clarify where the jealousy part originates. The "controlling" is definitely out of insecurities by the insecure person. They think they have to have control to keep that other person from leaving, or doing those things they are insecure about.

Thanks for clarifying. flowerforyou

LOL, well I see Eric brought up a lot lately.

And it is funny when you said that about a friend being really gay.

I have a good friend, she is very beautiful..but also 100% lesbian. She will drag me out to a club, because she loves to dance, then she will go out and torture the guys and dance with them and rub up against them..but I know she does it for fun and just to drive the guys nuts. She'll even give me a qwik lap dance just to be onry, but I know its for fun and just have to laugh

So yeh, I see your point. It can be funny! drinker laugh flowerforyou Tell Eric I said hello! laugh flowerforyou

As long as their is know physical attraction to each other a close friendship could happen but it's very difficult because both people have to feel the same way

If they've decided "not to ever go there" then it works. I have a best friend that is a male. We know its in our best interest to say "friends only". But I sure have never let him spend the night either....not even on the couch.

i think, yes, but it's everyone around them that will have an issue with it thinking it's more than what it is. flowerforyou
