Yeah, And Obama will use the recent highly successful (sarcasm) strategy that Jimmy Carter just used with Hammas. Big story, huh, Hammas will never recognize Israel ....

It's spelled 'Hamas'. And what does Jimmy Carter and Hamas have to do with Obama?

Apples and oranges. huh noway

Obama's has stated many times than we should talk to our enemies. The probblem is Hamas is does not represent the government.....And most consider them terroist.

You must not have read the article I just posted. Or know about Obama's real position concerning Hamas.

According to haaretz.com,

'U.S. Senator Barack Obama on Wednesday criticized former U.S. President Jimmy Carter for meeting with leaders of the Islamic terrorist group Hamas as he tried to reassure Jewish voters that his presidential candidacy is not a threat to them or U.S. support for Israel.'

The rest of the article can be found here:

Definitely an Obama flip flop from what he has represented on foreign policy statements he has made in the past...

You can't defend your argument any other way than to call Obama a 'flip flopper'.

Tragic. yawn

Look dude, get off my case. Obama clearly stated in the debates that he would sit down and talk with all of our enemies - so now it's not true?????

The first: whether the candidates would meet with leaders of rogue states within a year of becoming president.
Sen. Barack Obama said during the debate that he would. Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton said she would not.

It's not hard to find a link to the above if you just try.....

Another major flip flop.....Obama is constantly having to explain just what he said!

And yet Hilary outright states she intends to attack Iran, if they dont do what she wants tem to do....

Ohhkkkaayyy.... I would imagine a direct quote like that would make a big splash - but I haven't seen that. Links ?

Democratic Party presidential candidate Hillary Clinton’s pledge to “obliterate” Iran if it attacks Israel marks a sharp escalation of threats against that country and its entire population.

This is an excerpt from the following link, which is just one of many. For more such stories, just google "Hilary Clinton Threatens to attack Iran....."

Okay...and in this, the quote was Clinton would attack Iran, IF they attacked Israel.

Okay - been to Israel. Worked with some of the people there. Know what? If I had to choose another country besides the U.S. to live in - Israel would be on a very short list for me.

I have no problem with this - as long as she keeps her word. "Massive retaliation" Quite simple - you attack our friends, you pay the price.

I agree in so far as supporting our allies if they are attacked, and helping neutralize the attacker. However she specifically states (maybe a different article than this one, will have to double check) that she will wipe the entire nation out. THE ENTIRE NATION.... That is what I do not like or agree with. Do not blame the Nation, or punish the Nation if you can at all help it for the leaders mistakes. By all means, retaliate if neccesary against the leaders, but do not wipe out the entire Nation.

Oh...they talk about that in the article - going over the word "obliterate" and how if she used that word, it was intentionally to mean only one possible recourse, etc etc etc etc.

I look at that as the "I am going to kill you" statement. We have all heard someone say that at one time or another - and right or wrong as it may be to say - rarely does the other person end up dead shortly there after.

Now, if she meant it as she isn't going to play around, she would give the military orders to flatten anything related to Iranian military command, control or facilities - again, I have no problem with that.

If you are going to go to war - stop fooling around. Subjugate your target, let them know you are not playing and being "diplomatic" and be done with it. If that means Tehran becomes a waste-land - so be it.

While some here do not understand the concept, as this doesn't exist in their Camelot world - you will get much farther in your diplomacy when the person at the other side of the table understands removal from power and even imminent destruction is an option you hold and are willing to use. Even if it is unspoken.

I agree with you very much on this. We (the United States) have *****-footed it too long as far as diplomacy is concerned. We need to show that we are willing to use whatever force is neccesary to ensure peace and safety.
I just don't agree with wiping out the innocents. It can't always be helped, I know, but whenever possible, it must be done.
