If so, I never experienced anything like that with Sony ever. Only problem I had with PS2 is the Disc read error because it was a PS2 launch but they fixed it with no problem. But Microsoft, man o man, first the Red ring of death, Flop of Windows Vista, and now this. I wonder whats next for Microsoft? |

Sony Computer Entertainment America, in cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product and Safety Commission, is voluntarily replacing PlayStation 2 (Model# SCPH-70011 and 70012) AC Adaptors (SCPH-70100) free of charge.
No one likes to change things for free unless theres a lawsuit behind it |

We leave our PS2 on all the time ...... like days or weeks and nothing ever happens . I mean my house is still standing .
I dunno about the xBox thats a little insane . Who would have thought about something like that . Now i'm going to be paranoid about leaving stuff plugged in . Thanks . |

We leave our PS2 on all the time ...... like days or weeks and nothing ever happens . I mean my house is still standing . Glad Im not the only that barely had problems with Sony. But Microsoft needs to exit the console market quickly. Imagine Microsoft entering the Videogame Handheld Market? I think it would also be dangerous to own one as well. |

A power brick that emits heat and has electricity. Duh. Even some random chance there was some sort of short in just that brick could have caused it.
All my consoles are plugged in and on at all times (standby or whatever) and I've never had problems at all. But then I do things like making sure there's airflow and none of them would get too hot either. Sometimes I've even gone as far as putting a fan in the general area to generate more airflow. |

What the they don't tell you is: That at the start of making the PS2 there was a contractor that bought cheaper materal and wasn't CSA proved meaning Rated wires and proper covered wire
Having a surge or wires not installed right where more likey to start a fire and Sony did have many people have there house burn to the ground.. You ever watch the news and see a house fire and hear (The fire Marshall is looking in to it a electrical fire maybe to blame) Not all fires are behind the wall |

Halo...hit big, and they flew with it. However the 360 is nothing more than a brick that flashes red all the time...not mine so I don't care, but glad I learned...now I save for a PS3. |

Are you disagreeing? I will admit that the 360 is better off with the HD it has, PS3's blueray is no where near as good. The 360 also as far as I know has more original titles to it at this time, but I really am not bothered as I'm not a cultist with those...never was fan of Halo. The PS3 as far as I've found is more reliable than the 360 that is why I am going for it, I would rather play video games than have a red eye flash at me every 6 months. |

meh, i'm not really paying attention to the comments... just that a game system catches on fire and suddenly they're dangerious. watch the system, don't leave it on for extended amounts of itme without watching. hell, look at who makes it |
