a new bike. I was going to buy a BMW R1200 but awfully expensive. Anyone have any Harley stories. Reliable? Problems? Belt drive? Electrics? Oil leaks? Dealer network? Gas mileage? Come on, be honest. Don't be afraid to tell the truth. I want something that lasts that I don't need to work on everyday.

I got a 2000 road king clasic and have had no major problems (knock on wood) you can now get a 7 year extended warnty with the harleys I did have one leak but I got it fix under warnty

That's a nice bike. I was thinking of the 1200 Sportster because i ride mostly back roads and am used to sport bikes. Would that be better than the 883?

Trust me it would my first Harley was an 883 and it was too small when I bought it the 1200 is a good bike
