Topic: sausage gravy

Something I enjoy here and would like to pass it on to all you JSH folks out there-

Get either frozen or a basic gravy in a can and mince up some spicy Italian sausage and fry it in peanut oil. Put to the side when brown. Next get you 4 already made homestyle warmed bisquits. Combine the sausage bits with the white/silvery gravy and stir. Now dump the gravy mix over the four bisquits.

Add-

a)bacon slices on side
b)orange juice (it goes well with this classic breakfast feast)!

This my sound strange but gravy is good on fries.

well, that does sound like a guys way of doing it...my way is to start with browning the sausage...while it is browning I make homemade from scratch biscuits....while they are baking...I make the saugsage gravy from scratch....Then when all is done....you tear the biscuits apart and slowly pour the mouthwatering gravy over the biscuits...It's also good to add along side some home fryes and eggs...fresh jelly and butter...mmm mmmm good.....

Yep, my mom always used the grease from the sausage or bacon to make gravy. Oh maybe thats why I have high blood pressure at 31.:tongue:
