I shave too. Used to have a beard in the winter, but I conditioned it so it was soft. And kept it trimmed too. Couldn't be like all Grizzly Adams.

 If I do by 11pm most ladies complain the stubble hurts their thighs

I have a mustache, I like the way it looks on me. My x complained about it irritating her sensitive skin so I didn't have it for years. But now it is back and for good I hope. I mean how can I offer mustache rides with out one?? lol
