I believe you can set age paramaters for replies somehow here, I think. I did not notice any age preferences in your profile, but I just glossed over it pretty quickly and I'd guess the guy who e-mailed you may have done the same. Good luck to you. You may need it.

Huh? Do you know what this is about? It is about someone who sends a follow up e-mail after they've already been told no thank you. Do you think that is appropriate?

Don't you sometimes wish that saying no once would be enough?

I uduslly reply to someone who replies to me. I figure it's just being polite. If it's obvious from the reply that no reply is wanted, maybe I won't send a response back, but usually I'm gonna communicate with someone who communicates with me.

If someone's rude when they reply, fine. I just blow it off (though noone has done that here yet, fortunately). If someone doesn't send an e-mail back I figure we're done communicating and I stop eventually.

If you're on here and you don't have blocks up here and there you're probably going to get e-mail(s} whether you want it or not.

If you don't wan't em, just close your eyes and hit the delete button.laugh

Ok,Ok. Perhaps he was trying to save face and felt like a fool for emailing a woman that wasn't interested. Even embarrassed perhaps. At least it was only one email and not a thousand.

In Lily's case, the guy approached her three times and three times she declined. This guy only approached you twice and only one of those times was to induce conversation.

What constitutes right or wrong here. A guy replies back to you when you didn't think he should have. Let's just say it was for the sole purpose of getting the last word in. Perhaps you do know where this guy is coming from? I mean a thread was started, to basically make yourself feel better or something. To justify how you felt about the whole thing or something. In the mean time, that guy got slammed the whole way for no real good reason.

Why does anyone need to be told no twice? Shouldn't once be sufficient?

I guess "In a Perfect World" only once should be sufficient. I guess being rejected by someone you find attractive or whatever, could lead you towards making a poor decision. You know, like replying to an email after someone says they're not interested. Looking back in hind sight, haven't you ever displayed some sort of similar silly behavior? I have anyways. It may not have been the right thing to do, but I guess it made me feel better at the time. Kind of like starting this thread. I'm just saying, that I see both sides. Live and let live.

lily's ordeal, the guy was persistant, once i told him thanks but not interestd, he really shouldn't have replied back, even for the sake of conversation, not interested, simply means not interested.

i made this thread for all those that have been complaining about never getting a reply, there ARE reasons for not replying to an email, this would be ONE example of a reason...i did not post this thread to specifically rag on the guy that emailed me back, if you don't see that, that's your problem, no one else's

however, like all the threads on the forum here, this is MY opinion, and you can see by all those that understood, im not alone in this opinion, so, not only are you entitled to YOUR opinion, but i refuse to degrade or attack you for it, therefore, i'd expect the same curtosy, thank you

another reason to actually READ the profile before you email

guess i could start a thread about that too..but that's already been done, a few 1,000 times
