Various cash donations to different charities.

Was auctioned off at a charity function.

Gave my used but dependable car to a friends son so he could commute to college.

Got my boss to roof a womans house before it caved in on her head. Her husband was in the hospital without insurance, and they were in such financial straights that they had let their homeowners insurance lapse. I have a pretty great boss! happy

(even though that's really his donation, I think it's pretty cool)

charitable thing you've done in the last year?

I donated to the Red Cross and gave lots of sperm away free.

....now, the only question is:

who got the free sperm ?

Lessee...
Donated 4 bags of food to a local food drive.

Donated $300.00 to a "No Kill" animal shelter.

Helped out 2 friends by letting them have 2 of my spare computers for a nominal fee (I paid for shipping 2000 miles away) and in the process learned that "No good deed goes unpunished" first hand.

Rendered first aid at the scene of an accident until the cops and ambulance arrived. (I'm St.John's Ambulance certified and carry a first aid kit in my car at all times)

After a friend totaled her car, drove her around to do her errands for 2 weeks, then drove her to a place (1 hour each way) where she could purchase a used car within her budget. I inspected the car for her before recommending whether to buy it or not. (I'm an ex-Army mechanic)

Helped an elderly female neighbor move all of her furniture onto the patio so that she could have her carpets cleaned, then moved everything back into the house and spent another hour shoving things around as she decided to rearrange the decor while she had the chance.laugh

When I moved, I donated a bunch of good clothes, jackets, a coat, a suit, and some shoes in decent condition to the local Goodwill. At the same time, I donated some pots and pans, dishes, glasses, utensils, and furniture to the Salvation Army.

Donated a lot of time to alter and document a friend's private Forum on the Internet (and got burned for my efforts)

Busier year than usual because of the move.
