My cat can be such a pest!laugh Normally I am a nite owl, bedtime between 12am, and 1 am.flowerforyou But last nite I was really tired, so I TRIED to go to bed at 10 pm, to catch up on sleep! She saw me going to bed early, and I guess she thought "oh boy! playtime!" She kept me up until 2 am! That's even past my normal time! I could've killed her!laugh laugh --does anyone else have this problem, or anything similar? flowerforyou

Try having two cats who think you should get up at 3 or 4 a.m., when your usual wake-up time is 6:30. The one will do everything in his power to get me up - jump on me, or put his whiskers on my face, or put his cold nose on my arm, or walk across my hair on the pillow. Then when I finally get up, the other one will HOWL at the top of his lungs, so I have to chase after him and see what's wrong. And then both cats play and go back to bed. Leaving me wide awake at 5:30. yawn

You should meet my cat. laugh

He does that to me ALL the time.

I tuck myself in the covers tight so he can't get to my feet at night, but he always finds a way. laugh

I have two cats and inevitably around 3:00 a.m., they get a burr up their butts and want to chase each other. I have adapted and can now fall asleep after that initial romp, but they are just buttheads.
Also in the morning, just before my 5 a.m. alarm, they both jump on the bed and stare at me until the alarm goes off and then promptly begin to whine until I get up and give them their treats.
SIGH....they have me trained well.

When I lived with my sister she had a dog that was trained to cat sit, so when my cat and her cat would get playing, the dog would yell at them and they would settle down. laugh

It was the funniest thing.

Or, when one of the cats scratched (they're both declawed), the dog would run over to them and stare them down, wagging her tail.

Yes. Doesn't matter what time I go to bed. Doesn't matter if the cats were asleep in another room. They suddenly wake up and come in and want cuddle time and play time.

Mine will do everything in his power to get my attention by knocking things off the dresser or off the computer desk, whatever it takes to get my attention....when he is ready for bed. That's my cue to get ready for bed so he can snuggle with me. But when I am ready for bed all I have to say is come on, let's go to bed..........half the time he's there before me. Crazy cat, but I love him to death.
