In my experience, the shots don't make a difference. I may get it, I may not. Especially since the years I got the shots, the shots never covered the type of flu that would hit the area. So I never really saw the point of it.

cause it is contagious and there is an incubation period.

For Influenza, they say you can start experiencing symptoms within a day or two. The last person I know had the flu a month ago. Well past the incubation period for the flue.

I go to college fulltime. I got the flu, it went away (I thought) and came back with a vengence. Im still recouperating from it. I ended up with chronic bronchitis, flu and pnuemonia. Am on anti biotics for the lung infections.

I already know that they dont work for the virus part. All I know is its been weeks and now I find out I have COPD on top of all that. No wonder I can't breathe. I stopped smoking 2 days ago. That can only help and save me some money I can use for gas. Sorry you all are having the flu and for those of you who haven't, good luck hope you dont get it.

The beginning of January I became very ill. It was asthmatic bronchitis and a sinus infection. It wiped the energy out of me for a few weeks. My voice wasn't mine for a few weeks either. I was given antibiotics, steriods, nasal spray and an inhaler. Then more antibiotics and then more.

I still have a lingering cough. I still need the inhaler for the lingering asthma.grumble

Enough is enough!!!!

Why do I have to get the flu weeks after my friends got it? I'm not even sure where I managed to pick it up at. I thought flu season over already...
