Welcome To My Oz
Let me take you to a land Of reality, not make believe, A place I plan to stay A place I'll never leave. A place that I envision It's my own little Oz, Come, let me tell you about it Just because... I don't dream about Munchkins Or a good or a bad with, I don't look down on little people Or call women a *****. I don't see a poppy field Or a land of green, But I will get to the point And tell you what I mean... When it comes to being a Scarecrow Who wished he had a brain, He's better off not having one To not think through the pain. The pain from a lost love Wondering where to start, He'd get back up on that stand If he had any smarts. Now being the Tin Woodman Who only wanted a heart, He wanted to feel love again And to feel the rhythm start. He knew one day it would break And in time, it would mend, I'd rather not have a heart So it wouldn't happen again. The Cowardly Lion wanted courage So that he could be brave, He wanted to be the King of Beasts A world he could save. Of the three, he lived and breathed He had a heart and brain, The courage that he wanted Could help him through the pain. Without a brain, heart or courage I wouldn't have to feel, A broken heart or discouragement Which they need to heal. My brain wouldn't have to think Of my Dorothy leaving me, I wouldn't be buried in the memories Of what used to be. I don't have to click my heels So I can get back home, I'm already there By myself and all alone. I don't have an Aunt Em Or the Uncles three, Just me and my dog Kaz Where we'll always be. If I could click my heels And my wishes came true, We'd always be together Just me and you. Fantasies and fairy tales Are just make believe, If I can be with you always I never want to leave. |

wow Glad you liked it Light... Akin...I know alot about Oz, I was just giving a brief synopsis of my Oz. This is not about Frank Baum's story...it's a comparison of my vision of my Oz. You either like it or you don't, it doesn't matter to me. |

The poem was great. The fantasies and fairy tales all have morals to the story and human growth potential. They can be used as tools for learning and how to be a better "human".
