Angels Came From Miles

He was a member, of a wonderful site
Where he made lots of friends,
He entered in their hearts with love
They returned it back to him.
All these friends, from all the states
Even across the oceans,
They never gave it one minute of thought
Or even took the notion.

They never suspected of his illness
Or the day it took him down,
Ending up in the hospital, in a coma
His heart was slowing down.
He was sorely missed
His poetry won't be seen,
It put a smile on your face
In your eye, it put a gleam.

"Has anybody seen him?
It's been several days since,
Can someone get in touch
And find out from whence?"
"I have his number," someone said
"I'll give him a call."
His daughter answered, with a tear
"My daddy took a fall."

OMG was said, as the voice trembled
"What can we do?"
"My daddy needs your prayers"
She said in subdue.
So the angel got in touch
With all of his friends known,
Everyone got together for him
Prayers and love were shown.

Those that could make the trip
Came from all around,
All the lives he has touched
Made it into town.
They met the daughters there
In the hospital, where he lay,
A band of angels came to him
A big prayer circle, formed that day.

The daughter asked, "Who are ya'll?
Where'd you come from?"
"We're all the friends, he has touched
Not all, but some.
He has meant the world to us
That's why we're here."
"Wow, I never knew my daddy..."
"Shhhh...it's okay my dear."

"Your daddy is a special man
His words are what we read,
He touched our hearts in a way
And gave a special need.
He has a gift, be proud my dear
Of the love he has shared."
So they formed a circle 'round the bed
To show their love and care.

Angels came from miles that day
For one particular soul,
To see him get better by prayer
Was their main goal.
The circle stood unbroken
Before they heard the beeps,
Smiles came across the faces
As God answered, He keeps.
