In writing a paper for my Youth Suicide class, I learned that homosexuality is a suicide risk. Makes perfect sense.

It depends on what kind of support they get. I imagine the majority have little to no support. It also matters how the outside world treats them. Just like any person, there are several stressors involved. They're at a high risk because of the stigma that comes with it.

I think it's probably more or less those that haven't come out to their family yet.

They don't know who they are and if they will be accepted.

I've a lot of friends that have been through this.

My friend has some family issues as most I am guessing but being Gay is being very well accepted theses days, I am in The Providence area (RI) where we have a gay mayor and about 20 gay clubs in the city that are open 7 days a week. They have a gay pride festival twice a year that closes down parts of the city in honor of this.........it is televised and the mayor attends....
