IDK, have you ever dated before.....someone has to make the first move, and say "Hey, I like you, wanna go out sometimes" that is the first move...... that person does that in hopes that the other person will say "Why, thank you, yes I would" So you see how it goes back and forth.

I don't know many people who say "Hey would you like to go out for coffee" in hopes of the other person saying "No, your a hairy oaf, go take a bath"

You make yourself volnerable. and then the other person does, it goes back and forth, at the initial stages of the "mating ritual"

Who makes first contact...it's up to them, I prefer for the guy to do it....and I have my reasons why....

Just to clarify, the question, just was simple..who starts the relationship..who intiates the contact, or starting the connection...nothing about control in a relationship. I was just wondering who you thought controlled if you pursue a relationship or not...like who agreed to date and give it a chance.

Who do you think controls the start of a relationship...men or women? Who do you think mostly initiates the relationship? Just curious of your opinons. Like when you intially meet, who do you think is in control of if you date or not..mutual, one gender more over the other. I guess i have to detail this question more than I thought, when you meet someone for the first time who do you think decides if they want to pursue something. My friend said that women have more control. And they decide if they are going to pursue the guy or not. He said that he thinks men dont have much control on initiating the relationship.
