When a really great friend just starts avoiding you and you can't figure out what you did wrong, so, you figure that you'll just find someone new to hangout with for a while. I CAN'T FIND ANYONE TO HANGOUT WITH............ It just hurts while you are inbetween friends.

I do that all the time for fun just to mess with people's heads. I know, I'm so nice. Maybe that makes me a not great friend though...

have you tried talking to this friend and asking what the issue was or is? a true friend would not play games but would communicate.....

See, the problem I have with this is the fact that I am, in fact, not loaded with $$ and like to think of myself as quite mature. My tactics are like those of an expert that has been doing it for years.

As for the OP..
Sometimes my life takes me away from my friends for a time. For reasons that have absolutely nothing to do with them. It happens.

A few tend to become overly excited and take it personally when I do it too...
Which is really odd.. considering they are the same ones that can disappear at will, never offering a reason either before or after the fact.
Of course.. I'm not hounding them for one either...

My pastor used to quote a saying:

"We wouldn't worry so much about what people thought of us, if we realized how little they do"

ie, ..it's not always about US. or you

Could be they are just living life. It happens.
