I have been talking to someone from this site for a little while now that I care very deeply for that is currently stationed in Iraq. I find it difficult to not worry. I don't come from a military family and find it hard to care so much for someone that is in danger.

I want to start this thread and hope that it is an ongoing thread for those that have loved ones in the armed services. As a sort of support group for advice and well wishes.

Please share you experiences, laughs, joys, and tears here so that other may know that they aren't the only one missing a loved one.

Even if you want to post a thoughts and prayers post for a loved one that is okay too.

Please keep this forum going so that we can support each other so that we can keeping supporting our men and women.

This is a great idea...good for you..and our loved ones. My dauhgters fiance has just returned from Iraq. Keep the faith...well wishes..and care packages going...they need us more than ever now. They need to know we are behind them..no matter what. They are serving our country..no matter if you believe in what we are doing there we MUST stand behind our people, let them know they are loved....needed....appreciated.

I have alot of family in Iraq right now an my bro went an came back, he just got married an he is glad he made it back, I also have friends over there.. it is hard but all u can do is pray for them

My dad retired from the Air Force so I pretty much grew up in the military. I have great admiration for the men and women in the service. I may consider the service if can't find a job once I graduate from college. I will go in as an officer.

My very dear friend is in Iraq right now on his third tour.

I send a "care package" about one a week or every other week, I fill it full of candy and magazines... Yes I look silly carrying 4 sport illistrated swim suit issues threw the store. I send stuff for him, and things he can share where he is stationed.

I worry alot, because there is not alot of contact, he is on the front line infantry.

I call him my very own personal hero.

I was active duty, and in the guards for a total of 15 years and I still to this day really miss it. I joined the family support group of the national guard unit I was in. We are not as active as when their husbands/wives/children/friends were in Iraq. But it is a really nice group of woman who keep involved with the unit. And it's a nice time to meet and chat about planning family activities in the future... If they do get called to go back, we are in place to help families..

well i should be able ot post something negative if I want and you could report me if you want and the moderators shouldnt be able to do a damn thing about it cuz these are open forums for everyone to post and enjoy their veiws as long as tehy are not degrading one another.... ... now I have nothing negative to say about hte war ..I have been ot Iraq twice.. but i dont like people trying to forcce you to not say anything negative by threatening you

and furthermore this thread should be reported or edited just because of that.. I have had Mike lock threads in the past for stating things like that....

Do so as you see fit.
