What do you do when you've exhausted all of your prospective matches at a dating web site? Aside from changing my search criteria, which are pretty much just my "deal breakers," it seems like I've already communicated with (or been rejected) all of my matches at several different web sites. I've moved on to new sites, sort of, but the old ones remain bookmarked. Is anybody else familiar with this experience? What have you done about it?

I've actually gone through all of my mutual matches. I don't really have access to all 50,000 members. One of my deal breakers, unfortunately, is that my match be reasonably local. Long-distance relationships don't work for me. Maybe that means that dating web sites are going to be of limited utility to me, but it's just the way it is.

No idea for online...

Maybe locally you can join some things your interested in .. pool league, art class, archery, volleyball, baseball, etc.
who knows what your interested in but then you meet new people and those people have friends... you enlarge your social circle and maybe will run into someone you like.

Yeah, I reached the "saturation point" awhile back. I've been on a lot of sites but it's clear that the type of person I'm looking for isn't likely to be on a dating site.

There is only one site right now which I haven't completely eliminated as a potentially viable place to meet someone, and this may be largely because I've only been using it briefly and haven't had a chance to assess the local membership yet.

I've decided it's time to try "real life" again -- at least, "real life" locals will talk to me -- hopefully....!
