Dear world,

I am writing this diary in an obscure thread labeled "Colorado" where hardly no one reads or posts so I'm not worried about anyone reading it because it's very boring stuff.

I live in the southeast corner of Colorado where you can see for miles and miles. It is April 10th and it is trying to snow, but it is turning into sleet.

Springfield is a small town where nothing much happens, and if it does, I don't know about it because I don't go to the beauty parlor enough to get in on the local gossip.

Things here are just starting to turn green with signs of spring.

I don't know what is going on anywhere else in the world either, because I don't watch television anymore, as I find it a waste of time.

My dog died last week.

My cat pounced on my mom's bird cage today. It was the funniest thing I had seen for a while around here. A great big black cat with his arms completely around a small bird cage and a little parakeet inside flying about in panic...

I peeled him off and scolded him and put him outside.

See you next time, as I am going to continue to post my pathetic diary of life in a small town in Colorado.

Feel free to respond or not. drinker

I am a Colorado native from the Pikes Peak area. I read your diary. I think it is neat to find another Coloradian posting on this site. Good luck with the weather in Springfield!drinker

hi wzrunner!

Dear diary,

4/11/2008

I got up an hour earlier this morning and I got a lot more done than I normally do. ~~It could be because the sun was shining through my bedroom window.~~

My dad asked me if I have been taking care of "that dog" (his dog actually) and I had to tell him that the dog died. He said, "..oh, I forgot." (His memory is not so good anymore.)

Then later I caught him headed out the door with some left-overs to feed the dog... but his dog was not there. When he saw my little dog he did not know where that dog came from.

"Your dog is dead." Mom reminded him. "Oh, I forgot," he said, "Where did that other dog come from?"

He says that every time he sees that little dog.

Together my sister and me put a nice dinner on the table with roast and potatoes, spinach salad and gravy. Mom asked us if it was Sunday. (We usually only get together on Sunday for a nice dinner.)

"Nope, its Friday. Enjoy it!" I said, "..cause Sunday we will probably have sandwiches."

Next week it is supposed to be real warm, maybe 85 degrees. That will be nice.

Now I will get back to work on some websites.

Probably the most boring book on the planet.

Now my sister Karen's life has been quite dramatic. She moved to Springfield last year, and is helping me care for my Mom and Dad. She still manages to have lots of kids and drama going on, but I try to stay out of most of it. I am trying to teach her to chill out and not to sweat the small stuff.

But her life story would make an epic novel of major proportions. An almost never ending soap opera. I do wish she would write her life story but she would have to change the names to protect the guilty and the innocent.

Dear Diary,

Last night mom phoned me and said. "We're going to have to do something about your dad."

"Why?" I asked. "What's wrong?"

"He can't hardly walk anymore and almost could not get out of his chair tonight."

So it begins.....

Karen brought a small wheelchair over and we rearranged the bedroom so we can get it in and out.

A potty chair sits next to his bed, and sometimes we can get him to use it in the night when he can't make the trip to the bathroom, other times he just leaves a trail across the floor on the way to the bathroom.

Oh well, at least he is still walking, I would think.

But now he just can't hardly walk from the bedroom to the bathroom anymore, so we needed to clear a path for the wheelchair.

All he does anymore is get up, get dressed, and struggle to get into his recliner in the t.v. room, where he reads the paper and snoozes and watches t.v. all day.

He just keeps going and going like the energizer bunny whose batteries are getting low, but still keeps on going. He never seems to get sick.

He is just old and tired and has arthritis real bad, he can't hear good and has a bad ringing in his ears. He can't remember things.

He hears a church bell ringing and he wants me to go stop who ever is ringing that bell. There is no bell.

Dear Diary,

Monday, April 14th

The weather is beautiful and here I sit at the computer. I have been doing laundry and cleaning house at Mom's. Dad is walking a little bit today and got out of bed this morning and got dressed by himself. That is good.

I have spent too much time in conversation on JSH forum today when I should be cleaning my apartment, but I enjoyed it.

Sunday we had sandwiches for lunch because we were too busy clearing Dad's bedroom and moving things to cook a major dinner. Karen got Jerome and Luke to help us move the closet box to make room for a path for the wheel chair.

Sunday I went shopping at the dollar store and then over to John Clester's to help him with his lap-top computer and install AVG for him, then he took me out for a steak dinner. It was real good.

He gave me an old laptop computer with window's vista on it, and it booted up for a while, but the battery went bad. I don't know how to charge it up, I don't have a cord. I guess I will go to Radio Shack and see if they have one.

Oh yeh the painting John bought from me, ... now he wants me to send it to his sister via UPS. I will have to find a box to ship it in and call UPS for pick up sometime this week.

Boring stuff huh?

Dear Diary

I went and had some acrylic nails put on Tuesday and it has slowed down my typing quite a lot. What on earth was i thinking?

They are too long, its hard to type. I am going to have to clip them shorter i guess.

When I get that finished I will tell you the story about the dead rooster in the trash can and how it got there. Its a good story. But I can't type with these silly long fingernails.

What on earth was I thinking?

Dear Diary,

I got my nails clipped shorter so now I can type again.

Here is the mystery of the dead Rooster in the trash can.noway

Every Wednesday five of us women get together for tarot card readings and a bull session. We call it our "witches meeting."

One day we discovered a dead rooster in a trash can in back of our meeting place which is a Church converted to my sister's living quarters.

We could not figure out how on earth a dead rooster got in that trash can. It was a mystery.

Since we were tarot card readers we are considered to be a gaggle of witches by the local community and we worried about the meaning of a dead rooster, and why it was put in our trash can. I wanted to examine it but my niece had already taken the trash to the dump.

How did it die? How did it end up in the trash can? What did it mean? It was curious problem as we live in a very small town. There had to be an explanation. We could not come up with any and we thought of everything.

We had never seen chickens or roosters walking around the neighborhood that may have been hit by a car, and even if that happened, why would anyone put it in our trash can and why did we not see them do it?

We have two members of our group who are psychic. My niece being one of them. She decided to find out how that rooster got there and she began to concentrate on that. She was at home at the time.

She had a vision. She saw a dark night sky. From out of the night sky there she saw a white bird. It was a white barn owl. In its talons it carried a rooster. The rooster was almost the same size as the owl and the owl dropped it.

It landed on the roof of the rock house next to the church and rolled down the incline of the roof and landed in the trash can.

After her vision was over she wondered about it. She has doubts about her visions. She was in the bathroom looking at herself in the mirror and she asked, "What are the chances of that happening?"

At that moment, she dropped a razor onto the edge of the sink. It bounced and hit the toilet, then bounced and hit the faucet in the bath tub turning the water on.

What are the chances of that happening? She had her answer.

At the next meeting, some of us were still concerned and puzzled over the mystery of the dead rooster. She said, it's okay, she knew what happened. (We were worried that some people may be playing tricks on us or doing Voodoo curses or something.)

She said no. It was all right. She was hesitant to tell us what she knew, but we coaxed it out of her.

It made perfect sense, because there was people in town who did have chickens in their back yard and there were people who had reported seeing a large white owl.

Hence the mystery of the dead rooster was solved to our satisfaction.

Thank you, It is one of many strange tales of the witches five. laugh

I say witches, but we really do not consider ourselves witches in the wiccan sense. We are tarot card readers, some of us seem to be a little psychic at times.

Dear world,

A few flakes of snow graced our world today. There seems to be too many things to do in the real world and I want to work on our tarot deck designs, so I get a little annoyed today when I am interrupted to go fix lunch or do some chores.

Yet someone in my mind is nagging me to get up from this computer and get some outer world work done. It weighs heavy on my mind.

I have multiple personalities. I argue with myself a lot. I have different opinions about things. Its really annoying sometimes.

My next story will be about how we talked to my dead X-husband through the second psychic in our group. Its a weirder story than the rooster in the trash can.

Tomarrow.

Dear Diary,

Here is the story about the talk I had with my dead husband through the new member of our tarot group who is psychic.

Our group began with just two women who got together once a week to learn to read tarot cards better. We had placed an ad in the local newspaper to teach a tarot class.

One woman called and wanted to take the class. She is now the third member of our tarot group. As it turns out, she is psychic.

Among her abilities is remote viewing, seeing future events, and talking to dead people. All her life she tried to block this out or ignore it because she was raised catholic and her ability did not fit in with that mind set.

Her psychic ability seemed to be handed down from her mother to her and also to her daughter.

She had come to us not so much to learn to read tarot cards but to learn more about herself and her strange abilities. She thought that we might be able to help her to get rid of them or at least to control them.

Fast forward to the night in question.

I asked her if she could talk to ghosts. She was not sure, she had not done it much but she was willing to try. I may have just been testing her as I was not completely convinced she was psychic or if so, I wanted to know to what extent.

My second husband had died that year and I asked her if she could talk to him as I was curious about his death. I had been told he died of a heart attack. She said she would try. What followed was a night I won’t soon forget.

We had gotten together that night to watch one of our favorite witchy movies called “Practical Magic” with actress Sandra Bullock.

The movie was about three witches who were having a problem with a dead guy they had accidentally killed and brought back to life and killed again.

Suddenly she was staring at me in a very strange way. “What’s going on?” I asked.

What followed was embarrassing proof that she was indeed talking to my X-husband. It was not anything like you see the psychic John Edwards on television doing.

He (my X-husband) had not changed much. He was still the arrogant smart a$$ he was when he was living. He came through very strong and he revealed things only he and I would know and they were very intimate and private sexual details that turned our psychic’s face beet red. By the look on her face I am sure she learned things that she did not even mention out loud.

I questioned him (through her) about his death and she spoke his words. He said “The case is closed!” I continued to question him and said “but..” and he interrupted me (as he always did in life) and in a louder voice said again, “THE CASE IS CLOSED!” He said it two or three times. It was quite clear he did not want to talk about his death.

When she spoke to me, her voice was her own voice, but her words were his words. It was like I was talking to him. He would not shut up or go away. She did not yet know how to get rid of a ghost.

Between the movie about the dead guy, and the ghost in the room, I was saying to myself. “Crap, this stuff is real!” I had always considered the movie was total fantasy and here the fantasy seemed to be going on right before my eyes.

I said, “Tell him to go away now, I want to watch the movie.” She said he would not go away and would not shut up.

I tried to watch the movie anyway and ignore her, but she kept staring at me until I couldn’t stand it anymore.

She also described him, so she was able to get an idea of what he looked like. She knew private things, nicknames, etc. He wanted to argue with me. I just wanted him to go away. She said that she had go home because he would not go away, so she left.

I was afraid the next time I saw her he would come back, but that did not happen. She did say that he followed her home and did not leave her until she put her attention on her work. She has since learned how to turn them off and control the ghost situations better.

When this lady reads tarot cards, she does not even need the cards to do the reading. I think she uses them to validate her psychic reading, but she does not really need the cards.

However her and her psychic daughter come to me for readings. I asked them why they do that considering their abilities. They said they sometime have a problem doing their own readings.

They said that they were too close to the subject matter, I suspect.

(They think I am an awesome tarot reader, but I sometimes feel I am just guessing at it. The cards are amazingly accurate if you interpret them correctly. )

Dear Diary,

More about the conversation with my dead husband:

He had been a private investigator in life and he had always told me that if he ever died that I should investigate his death.

That is what surprised me when he responded with "Case is Closed!"
It meant that he did not want me to investigate it. Which I believe means that the death was his fault.

He may have refused to take his mediations or screwed up some way and he did not want me to know about that.

His conversation with me was like an argument. He was aware that I had said some bad things about our marriage and he was trying to convince me that "It wasn't that bad!"

I used to call him "My hunk of Junk" and she (the psychic) asked me what he meant by "his junk." There were other references to things that convinced me he was there.

Dear Diary,

I have been working on our Tarot deck with Darla and it is coming along steadily. The designs are going to rock the tarot card community. They are awesome works of art taken from old masters and re-designed digitally.

My house is a wreck. The weather has been beautiful spring weather this week. Blossoms on the trees and everything is turning green.

I feel scattered and unorganized. Something has to be done about this mess or I am going to shoot myself. Not really, but its driving me crazy.

Anyone else want to add to my Colorado Diary? What's going on in your corner? I live in Springfield, and nothing ever happens here.

Dear Diary,

April 29th 2008

Reading Tarot Cards and reading the signs are in a lot of ways similar. The cards speak to the reader through the images first and foremost and even if you ignore the traditional meanings of the cards you can still do a reading if you just interpret the picture.

Signs are things that present themselves to you outright in a subtle or sometimes very obvious manner. If I don’t read the cards, sometimes I see these signs.

I had not been reading cards for quite a while because I had no real inquiries, problems or questions and I generally feel that the future is what we make of it anyway.

But sometimes a sign pops up that is hard to ignore. Well, it can be ignored, and sometimes I do just that.

Yesterday morning I stepped out of my bedroom and there it was on the floor. A black and very dead crow. It was black and shiny and stiff. It was not a fresh kill, just something the cat found and dragged in. It was a beautiful specimen of a bird, as far as dead birds go.

No one was there to hear me but I said out loud, “Well this can’t be good.” Then I got a plastic bag and took the dead animal to the dumpster.

Crows are hardly ever good signs, dead ones in your house can’t be good either.

Later that day I paid a visit to my Sister’s house across the street and her daughter was there. They spoke of a tarot card reading they had done earlier. They talked positive about it so I thought nothing of it until they mentioned that it included the dark magician and the dark priestess.

These are not good signs either.

I asked them to lay out the five cards so I could look at them. I listened to their feelings about the reading but I did not say anything, because they are both very high energy and worry a lot. I thought there was no need for me to cause them to worry more.

So what does one do in a case like this? Be observant and alert I guess.

When a card reading appears that you are not sure about, the best thing to do is just make note of it and see what happens next. In this way the cards will teach you about their meanings.

I did not know how to interpret this reading, so I just listened to what they thought it meant.

But we all hate to see the dark magician or the dark priestess, especially in the same reading. We did not speak our thoughts.

Most tarot decks do not have a dark magician or a dark priestess, but our deck does. We designed the entire deck and these two cards were added as personal warnings. No other tarot deck has these two cards.

What happened later that night may explain the cards, but its not really quite over with yet.

My sister’s husband had a mild heart attack. In addition to that, he had some strange kind of short term memory loss happening to him. This memory loss was what alerted my sister that something was wrong with him. He also complained of a pain in the back of the neck.

She took him to our small local hospital and he is now stable and he has regained his memory. He seems to be back to normal. We will be taking him to see a doctor in Pueblo tomorrow. Although the doctor felt he knew what the problem with his heart was, he was confused about the memory loss problem.

I will let you know what happens next. I may do a reading in private later to see what it looks like.

JB
