ROANOKE, Va. (April 10) - Most families of victims of the mass shootings at Virginia Tech have agreed to an $11 million state settlement

well i guess it matters not that the state can buy a life or 2

wonder how much we would be worth

and would they pay

after all why is the state supposed to pay anything

reminds me of a bob seger song

i would post it

but all the copy paste and copy right police would go crazy

and most of them are not even moderators and have no business

posting comments about rules other than a quick rule post and saying something positive like i dont want ya to get a negative action against ya

I agree the money may help the families not with their grief or loss but with their finances, but to know that the State of Virginia has put a price on the life of your child, wow.

This may sound crazy or even insane, but why are these families being paid? Because Virginia Tech did not protect their kids? Why not use that money to ensure the lives of those still in attendance?

{maybe I need coffee, maybe I'm not fully awake, but my daughter to me is priceless}

i wouldn't sue the school.people always try to apply logic to these acts and think you can plan for them.Its a tragedy.why compound it by being a greedy schmuck.

How about we take that 11 million and put it to use by upgrading school security programs (those that work) and new equipment to keep people safer. I feel for those who lost people there but the school did not go on a rampage, a student did--one student.

I want to see things like this prevented in the future--I'm not sure how this accomplishes that. Still, peace to those who lost a loved one.
