There are no words that could describe
This endless emptiness nestled deep inside
It devoured the smile he loved so much
Murdered the laughter he did anything to hear
And as for that twinkle of mischief he spotted so well
That has been replaced with a storm of anger
Looking down on me today
I know he wonders where that girl is
The one whole stole his heart with no intention of giving it back
Who loved him more than anyone ever would.
Wonder he should not
For I know exactly where that girl is
Her last breath was drawn
The very moment his escaped those lips
There is a being that came in her place
And though times are tough this new image of her will survive.
Sometimes I too miss that girl
A few times it seemed as though I had found her
But it was only an illusion
She no longer belongs here anyway
That girl...
She was his
And his alone
I hate the mirror because now it lies
The being staring back is not really me
It has my face and my hair
But none of the emotions are still there
The ones I feel are that of the being
That stranger he never knew

Sad but beautiful, it is tough when we loose the one we love. But.. within time another will find the key to your heart and once again you will see that girl emerge.
