is it that manufacturers have to put fattening high fructose corn syrup in everything.

I was just reading the label on a bottle of Gatorade and it contains sucrose syrup and high fructose corn syrup. So theoretically if you are working out and sweating and drink the stuff wouldn't the corn syrup just turn to fat? Any coaches or trainers on here?

Community health Education here...

Corn syrup is a presurvative.

Here is my beef with gatoraide and the like.... Sugar causes you to dehydrate, it raises your blood sugar and makes your cells unable to hold water, which dehydrates you. Yes they add electrolytes, but it ends up cancelling each other out.

DRINK WATER.

Im not a coach or trainer, but if memory serves me right there were a few high school athletes and maybe some college athlete's, football players i think, that died from drinking i believe gatorade, this has been like several years ago, i think the problem is the way the body utilizes atp and then a sudden influx of sugar causes the pancreas to dump huge amounts of insulin, and it affected their hearts, causing cardiac arrest.

why havent you been reading all the "labels" gatorade is also 50 calories per serving, and many times a people buy a 4 serving bottle.

read read read ever drink any of those "replenishers" never drink them as a casual snack...only drink when your body has been sweated out and in need of nourishment.

otherwise drink some water
