Topic: why were we created

first of all, God does not punish. We punish ourselves through our actions. If we act good we get good back, If we act bad we get bad back. Very simple 2+2=4.
second of all, it's true that God knows everything for the single fact that in God our conception of time does not exist which means that what for us is 100 years ago for God is now, and what for us is 100 years in the future for God is still now.
In God every single rule of physics loses validity and application, so no matter how much Einstein killed himself developing mathematical formulas it's worthless in God's dimension. That is the only reason why God knows everything.
=============================================================================
I believe that God created human beings to fulfill a purpose, yet it's a very personal purpose. Each one of us has the duty to find such a purpose during his/her lifetime. Hopefully with God's grace we can end our lifes knowing that our purpose was fulfilled.

I knew it was worth looking through to see what people wrote.....Nicely said....

Does God believe lies? In other words, can you lie to God?

Does God know things which will never happen? In other words, does God know that you will fight an ogre today?

The point is, that if something is never going to happen, God doesn't know it. So we exist, because if we didn't God wouldn't know what we would do if we did exist.

God is outside of the universe, therefore, God is outside of time as we know it. For God, our lives have already been lived. But if we hadn't been given the opportunity to live, God wouldn't know anything about our lives.

Once you grasp this concept, the Bible makes a lot more sense.

Abra,
just something to consider...

try to imagine that God is reading 6 billion plus hearts and minds simultaneously.

Imagine that not all recognize that God would influence each intention and decision we make with care, nor will all recognize such influence as being from God.

Try to imagine that God would intervene into the thought process for good, not evil, yet leave the choice dictating the course of the future up ot each individual.

Then try to imagine why things are what they are.

Thats a good point.....you can't imagine God doing any of that....because he is not in your heart....If he was....you would know beyond any reasoning that he is always there....from the time I open my eyes until the time I close them at night....he is always always with me.

It is because you still don't understand the nature of time.

JB, honestly... all I can do is sit in amazement and wonder...

We all have our own reasoning for that which we perceive...

flowerforyou

I understand that. Pondering infinity, the number zero, the non-existence of NOthing, the non-existence of time and space has had me existing in what most people call "La La Land" most of my life.

The best way I personally understand it is to compare this reality to the reality I find in my dreams. When I wake up, it no longer exists. People tell me it never did exist.... they tell me it was "just a dream."

So I think I will wake up some day and find that this reality is also "just a dream."

Last night I climbed a mountain in my sleep.
It stood before me wondrous and steep.
And at the top I opened up a flask,
And drank some wine to celebrate the task.

My two companions shared the victory.
We viewed the world before us, as far as we could see.
The wind, the birds, the sky, the lakes below.
We might have stayed, but we had to go.

Then something plucked me from the mountain top.
I watched it disappear, I could not stop.
I awoke, still with the smell of lake and air.
I could not find the mountain anywhere.

With the memory still within my waking brain,
My friends, I yearn to see them both again.
Now I walk across the prairie, flat and bare,
I think of my companions, the mountain, lakes and air.

These are the illusions, that are not really here.
The dreams that fade, the friends that disappear.
I love this vast and open land, with snake and fowl and stone.
I wait for God to pluck me up and take me to my home.

Hmm interesting theory..one problem in it I see off hand. Ever hear of "Extinction?" Many species have gone that route already.

Indeed I have heard of "Extinction". In fact 97.7% of all species that have ever existed are extinct. The probability, some say certainty, of extinction is why procreation is the purpose of life.

I can agree that its is a part of life, but the purpose, I couldn;t subscibe to that one. The purpose, in my own belief, is from the Bible. Companionship and a relationship with God would be the purpose. Procreation is a part of the life, just not the purpose. flowerforyou

On the surface, circular logic always _looks_ like it makes sense, the quoted post being a fine example thereof. It's like saying 'my program is so fast it can run infinite loops faster than anyone elses.'

No one knows the answer to why we were created . Anyone who pretends otherwise is just bluffing !. Humans have limits to what they know as a fact . The guessing game will continue forever .drinker .

Why were we created. The fall of Satan. Then a 1/3 of the Angels believing a lie.
So what doe this have to do with us. They were created being able to see Yahweh. To know him and his perfect ways.
We are in training. The sabbath day points this out even at creation. On the 6th day we are to prepare. For what. To be sons and Daughters of the most High. To rise above the unseen.

We are throughout from Noah to Abraham and so on learning from experience to trust and obey for everyones good. True Love.

This training as with any job is invaluable. You learn from your mistakes. yahweh knows we will make mistakes and all he asks is that you recongonize them and tell him you understand and ask for help. He promices to give it to us.

Our preparation is the gift of eternity without sorrow, without grief, without evil intentions. But a flowing water within us as sons and daughters of Yahweh taking on his name that no one can ever hurt us again.

perfectness in the time he chooses. Ours is to listen to his instructions and we have nothing to fear. We have only the knowledge of Hope that only His true Shalom can Give. He is Awesome in Power and mercy and we should do our best to imitate his son as a true friend is one who is willing to give his life for you and in doing so you have saved yours.

may Yahweh's Mercy and Compassion Fill Our Souls..Blessings..Miles

Do you own a fish tank? Does the fact that the owner lives outside the fishtank mean that the owner cannot make changes within the fishtank?

You assume too much, you always have. You take one small post by me and assume you know what I believe. Next time, just ask me to clarify instead of assuming I believe that God doesn't interact within the universe.

I'm told that there's a plan in here somewhere. Could be a plot, eh?

We (our bodies) were created as advanced life forms, and designed with the capacity of evolving to self awareness, self healing, and having a personality.

The purpose of the human body (a life form design) is one that can be inhabited by the higher units of awareness (spirits of God) to experience being alive in this holographic matrix.

The purpose is life and the body was built for the purpose of inhabiting it and collecting information and experience to be used in the expanding universe.

It's possible. bigsmile

if God actually exist in "believers" hearts as they say, then can any believer tell of something they can do differently beyond the mind that a non-believer can not do ..if no believer can tell of anything different then wouldn't that only indicates that God doesn't exist in the believer's heart but only in the believer's mind

Funches...many many people are becoming radically saved today.

People that were atheists before , are now on fire for God....... satanists are now worshiping God... people in bondage to alcohol before( unable to get free)are now set free by the power of God.... people full of hatred before , are now people full of love for all mankind.

so yes...
there are changes that become evident in a born again christian's life.... most certainly!!

I've seen this happen repeatedly .

My own flesh and blood brother..who was the worst case of a non christian before...
is an example of a life radically changed today drinker

Sometimes the changes are instant...but as with a new born babe..the changes are more
often than not , gradual...but still.....the
changes are definitely
evident over a period of time, in a born again believers life .

Born again Christians are now new creatures in Christ.......flowerforyou

I love these replies. Some are funny, some are enlightening. The original questioner sounded like he had the answer already, so why the question?

I know the nature of time. There's fast time, slow time, and daylight savings time and it's 8:30 p.m. now.

And I know why we were created: someone had to stamp out the cockroaches, didn't they?

Okay,, My two cents into the Why!!!!!!!!!!

Creation in my Eyes,, Is the growth of ones soul,, A chance to take in life,, making errors along the way,,, questioning right from wrong as most do,,, Evolving into a human Shell to enlighten little Eyes,,, Aquire knowledge,, Share some if we have it,,lol
yet most of all to share ones soul of the earth,, Waking up thankful for one more day to question all the ponder in the world,, Thankful to close my eyes in the evening knowing I have lived another day with a smile on my face a tear in my eyes, pain in my heart and knowing its within me to change theses things,,

I also have come to know that my beliefs as I see them are okay,, and in the end,, what ever it may be,, I can honestly say when my eyes shut and my shell lays still,, I did the best I could,,,, Therefore I have found peace within me....flowerforyou

"MorningSong" you're making it sound like that the faithful turned to religion because they had an addiction or anger problem.. you do not have to be religious to break a drug or alcohol addiction in fact religion may be the reason that some choose the addiction or are angry in the first place..but anyway that wasn't what I was referring to...I asked what could a believer that had God in their heart do that a non-believer couldn't do beyond the mind ...and non- believers do not need God in their heart to break a drug addiction ....
