Topic: an obsessive ex | |

would you date someone who had one just to help them out? (addnote: this is not me, haven't talked to mine in well over a year and a half)

For a true friend, yes in a heartbeat, as long as the obsessive ex wasn't violent. Then I would have to think about what repercussions that could have on my life and kids. (The kids always come before friends.)

I have, and conceivably would do so again, in the right situation.

No. That helps nothing.
If they want to lie.. they can make up an ex from band camp now living in Canada. |

nope...ex is an ex for a reason

My ex and I get along very well, we help each other out when needed, but we have boundries... and don't cross them. His life is his, and mine is mine.
I mis read the question... Hell no I don't date my ex..... or anything else for that matter. |

I would think it just shows the ex they are moving on with someone else. Dating doesn't have to mean something serious does it? I've certainly dated people with whom I've had no intention of getting seriously involved. |

The question was date "just" to help them out. That sounds like lying to me. JMO

wow...i was just talking to my good friend whose ex won't leave her alone...and then i saw this topic.
i'm not sure that dating someone else would make the situation any better. then besides being obsessed, they would probably be heartbroken and jealous as well. |
