what I love are people in a SMOKING bar complaining about the smoke it's like going to a bar complaining about the drinking I guess Nope smoking infringes on other peoples rights. in a smoking bar??? that is posted SMOKING BAR? that's funny A Bar sells alcahol not cigs.

state mandated no smoking in public infringes on the business owners rights the business owner should be able to say if his business is smoking or nonsmoking and if you do not like the owners choice then do not go there

second hand smoke can kill true and both have choices. i don't go around non smokers...but if they come into the smoking bar...i won't put it out either

second hand smoke can kill and if it is a smoking permitted business do not go there it is your choice to go or not go there and the owners choice to permit it or not

that is why restaurants have smoking areas and non smoking areas Yes but just cuz there is a sign this side non smokin and the other is smoking. That is a joke, smoke travels. I know what smoking does first hand to people, being an oncology nurse i take care of people that had or does still smoke everyday. Most smokers no offense don't really care what they are doing to their body but alot of our tax dollars are taking care of them. And it is proven that second hand smoke causes cancer. If u want to smoke feel free, i just don't want to smell or inhale it. Not everyone is a polite smoker.

What's ridiculous is when you have an area specifically designated for smoking and a few whiners get a blanket ban pushed through because they don't feel they should have to put up with people who choose to smoke. I guess the whole "your rights infringing on mine" only goes to a point. Double standard anyone?

Sorry to say but when we are paying for unwed mothers with no insurance to pop units out every 9 month, illegal immigrants cannot be turned away, homeles people, and obese people the smokers don't even comapre to the drain on the health care system these people do. Further, I am a tax payer, and in the maximum donation bracket mind you. If I want to smoke, I will smoke, and don't try to guilt trip me about how much you are going to pay for my treatment. You will not be paying a dime, I have more than paid anything I will drain out of the system, if you put me on life support from this day till I am 60

It is a touchy subject for people, cuz ones that smoke feel that they should be able to smoke anywhere they want cuz it isn't illegal, but becuz it does cause an innocent non smoking person to get cancer then thats when the government steps in. Whether u agree or disagree they are protecting the nonsmokers, just like making drinking and driving illegal cuz it can cuz harm to an innocent person. This is a topic that smokers will disagree and nonsmokers will agree. So i guess the best comment is we agree to disagree

I argue that a place to eat, or frequented by children is no place to smoke. bars, properly marked as smoking areas should be allowed to stay as such.

Is that what you are tired of? That is exactly what we smokers are tired of... Most of us are respectful and will ask if you mind and if you do most of us will move... It is the self righteous non-smokers that shoot off at the mouth without even realizing it is more than just smoking... I will be damned if the goverment keeps me from smoking in MY car or home... Resturaunt and bar owners should be able to make the decision to have a smoking or non smoking resturaunt.... Oh man now you got me started, I am going to go smoke....
