OK, i am having a bad weekend or should i say a bad start of the year 2008 and could use some advice. I am not looking for sympathy just some good suggestions. Most of my friends are married, i am one of the few single ones left and am always a fifth wheel. Its to the point now that i don't really go out with them anymore just cuz its the same old thing. NO new people coming in, going to the same place u know what i am saying. So i came to this site just to check it out and i have posted on the forums like i have read that new people should do. But i have had no luck whats so ever on here. I know i am not ugly and have alot to offer so i am wondering if it is my profile or is it just not really workin for people? Not sure. Also any suggestions on where to truely meet someone now a days?

I don't get out much my self or go to bars because I don't drink and no body really wants me or so it seem's that way, so I'm just single and that's life I guess.

Don't take it personally; I have had no luck either. Though I love it here I find JSH to be more of an online friend network than a dating site. Others have had luck so it's not impossible. Hang in there!!

I've been here 16 months, and I'm no closer to finding a date here than I was the day I signed up. But a big part of that is just because I'm "selective" and I'm not interested in dating another "wrong person."

I've realized that dating sites simply don't work for me, and I've gone back to meeting people through friends. It's not a perfect system, by any means, but it sure beats being cyberignored.

To be honest I was on the POF web site and was lucky enough to date several women,none I must say was the one in a million.

Wish I knew what to tell you, sounds like you have about as much luck as me. All the ones that seems interested or interesting are 100's or 1000's of miles from where I live.

I really don't like hanging out at the bar, i work in an office with all women, i work out either with a girlfriend or at home. There isn't anyone new coming into our circle of friends. So where do u meet people today other then online?

I've had more issues with men I met IRL than from ones met online. Be patient or lower your standards.

When i lowered my standards i got with two losers so no i won't lower my standards again. It isn't worth it, standards are there for a reason......
