ok, I forget how the rest of that lil song goes... lol.....
My kids are making me dinner tonight. As I just told someone in an email, They are such nice kids when they are being nice! I taught all my kids how to cook since they were all really little. My boys just as well as the girls. It used to tick my ex off that I had the boys cooking too. A secret? My one son cooks better than my daughters. He just got offered a position as a breakfast cook in the restaruant where he works. Not that I will let him start it till he's passing in school... |

My dad had two brothers. My grandmother said she wasn't cooking and cleaning for 4 men. She taught all her boys how to cook and clean and wash clothes. Each boy had one day in which they were responsible for helping her with house work and she took care of the other 4 days herself. The rest of the week, they helped grandpa with the dairy farm and corn crop. Every boy should learn to cook and clean up after themselves. They won't always go straight from mom to a wife.

Boys that can cook grow up to be men who can cook... and that is a wonderful thing.

If not, this could happen. http://www.justsayhi.com/topic/show/102460 |

My Mom went back to work when I was still shorter then the kitchen counter... Trusting that my older siblings would feed me.
If I did not learn to cook? I doubt I would have made it to my 10th birthday! Let alone survived after leaving home at age 15. I earned my way through High School, cooking in 4 and 5 star restaurants. |
