the problem is that this is a mistake i should not have committed because I already know that the odds for such a thing to be a success are very low, yet i still went for it.


Well some times it takes an educated risk to make a significant change in your life. If it would have turned out like you hoped would it been a significant improvement? Thast would make sense. Give yourself some grace.

Then you simply admit to making a mistake and apologize, thats all you can do. If you mean a mistake towards yourself, then forgive yourself. The best way to deal with it is to be straight forward, suffer the consequence and move on, in fact it is the only way...otherwise, it will eat you up inside.
