where in texas hiker??? my 2 friends (2 dirty ole men lol) make the best bbq i've ever had....it's just an hours drive is why i don't eat there alot Lubbock. His name is Muchacho! Lubbock is farther from me than Midlothian...plus I can get free stuff from the friends

Ok, so I have been having some problems with a girl I work with that I had thought was a friend of mine. Now I need some advice! So for an April Fools joke we moved this girls car from one end of the parking lot to the other. When she went to get her car and it was gone we gave her some **** and pointed her in the direction of her car, saying maybe she should check over there incase she forgot she moved it or something. It was all just a joke!! So she got real pissed about it and didnt see the humor in it. For 2 days she has refused to talk to us who were involved. We dont exist except for her to sit and give us eat **** and die looks!! So last night before time to go home she ends up crying. Turns out its because she feels like she is losing close friends because we arent talking to her. So here's my problem. She claims she is over it all but she's still so mad so how can a person try to make it right?? Punch her in the face, drag her out of the office by the hair, and pound her head against the curb until her brains seep out. Just kidding. Actually- if this co-worker's gonna be a wet-blanket about an April Fool's joke (and really... she shoulda known it was coming), she should not even show up to work that day. It's as simple as that. |

Here's what I see happening since it already had. Yesterday we decided to give her her space and let her cool down since she was still so upset and that pissed her off because we werent over there trying to talk to her and apologize. Now if we give her space again she is just going to get more pissy because we arent kissing her ass! I agree. She is feeling powerful right now and playing it for all it's worth. that's true too. the fact that she is flip flopping with what she wants tells me there is something else going on. but someone only has power in things if given the power.

I will be honest...I don't do April Fool's Day for 2 reasons...I have hurt someone by a joke and I have been hurt by one. what's funny to one may not be funny to someone else. I can appreciate those who do have fun with it...but sometimes it's hard to determine what's funny and what's not

I think it might be a good time to point out that usually people who do appear to be able to take a joke and those that are well liked are usually the people most often teased/joked.
I think the jokee needs a bit of acceptance in that. Her problems, or reasons, whatever is causing her to be so upset... that is really unfair to take out on everyone else. Is this girl in high school? |

Here's what I see happening since it already had. example...a friend called me crying one year..said she was beaten and in the hospital. I got frantic...called every hospital, couldn't find her...called her family, friends etc looking for her to make sure she was ok. later that night she called me back saying april fool's.

Everybody involved move ur cars.... when all of u are outside to leave..with her around..all start freaking out..run around looking for ur cars... omg...if thats all u ppl did..she needs to get over it.. I think its funny.. I loose my car all the time... oh..thats because I am not driving my car..mine is in PA...lmao Same car ..same color but I seem to loose it here in FLA parking lots... I have to scare the elderly here by hitting the button...lol Just kiss her cheek and tell her its all ok and then be done with it..   One of our engineers thought it was funny as hell and he has a nicer car than she does. He even wanted to go up to her and ask her how she likes the valet parking. I would have rolled on the floor to see her face had he asked her! I love valet parking..never loose the car..just tip away and drive away...

You have the choice to decide to try to be friends or not. you said sorry and did what you thought was right to make amends. she apparently has a problem still (car related or not). you have the choice of what you do now |
