What would be your reaction if a partner made a donation in your name to a charity, instead of buying you a gift for the holidays?

I have onlt one charity I give to. If he picked that one I quess it would be ok. But I think giving to charity is more of a peersonal thing. Not for someone else to decide

Well it has kind of happened to me.indifferent

When my father passed away, my brother and I were scrambling to get money to pay for his funeral. And my uncle thought it was best that he donated money to the american cancer society rather than help us. indifferent My brother ended up having to ask his boss for a loan.

I think it's pretty cool actually. And when it comes with a card, you can be fairly certain it wasn't just a last minute cop out because he actually forgot you, but a genuinely thoughtful deed. happy
