It may have been one sided And, true, I played the fool But for a while I was a happy fool And I held to role well It may have been one sided And so I had to leave As you no longer wanted me But I lived all the same It may have been one sided But at least I loved And I won't give that up for you or anyone I learned heartbreak but I think I came out ahead In the end
