always ask their name but just so you know I just met a new friend and we had a wonderful lunch the other day so go for it!!!!

I would say a little strange by the time you start talking on the phone  ......I give my first name when I send or reply to emails.......but, that is just me......I defintely would not meet anyone without know there name

i think you should at least be on a first name basis...

Umm, to me that is strange. If you're willing to give someone your phone number.. you have some sort of trust in them unless proven otherwise. Not to mention, I would want to meet a person on "at least" a first name basis. |
