I will share something funny with you... when I suddenly found myself single with four sons, I didn't want them raised like they were raised by a single mother so, I took them fishing, taught myself how to do basic plumbing and electrical, built fence and a smokehouse and started doing most of my own car repairs. My heart was in the right place but it totally backfired. My boys now think that women should be able to do everything. They call me when their cars break down and my oldest even said once (before he got married), "I want to marry someone like you so I can be a housewife." LOL!
