Omnia Mors Aequat
A tomato sits in the sun wondering when the burning will stop. His life sitting in the balance of night and day. A few more hours of heat and he will be a dried up red spot on the dry Ground. The dust flows around the Ground scraping and gnawing at the near lifeless tomato. A tumble weed crosses in front of him. The tumbling tumble weed wishes the tomato good luck in his ending. The lonely howl sees the encounter and cries at the sun to stop his unknowing delightful torture. The tomato thanks the kind howl for his empathy but he knows it is unneeded. The Sun rides low in the sky taunting at the deliverance of night. He says goodnight to the Moon as if she was already here. “You’re a cruel god,” says the tomato. The Sun’s burning silence attests to his care of the third world. The Ground speaks,” Know your place you insignificant tomato. Play your roll in life and die. Be silent and walk into the arms of Death. He will care for your dried carcass. Remember there is no light in death.” What a cruel universe to let a lonely tomato dry up under the Sun and wait for the so ever impending Death. The Sun finally sinks in the sky and delivers the Moon along with her army of stars at her back. She only reflects the glory of the Sun but brings a peace to his fiery wonder. Just a little longer, a few more hours of bliss before I die in this dessert. The tomato stares at the sky and it’s window of beauty it shows. He waits for Death to come. “It’s time to go little tomato,” pronounces Death. “I’m coming Death visitor of all big, little, insignificant, or godly. Let all life know Death makes all things equal. I am coming.” |

That's usually when I find the most destructive things happen. Being vulnerable is tough to swallow. i like to have a short leash on my emotions and it gets harder ever day to stop myself from exploding |
