so set me free,cause this is what i need. i think,i thought,i've seen this dream. stop,wait,theres light in my eye. intoxicated vision for intoxicated lies. whats a lie or two between me and you. see me now,or see me later. ill still be lying here on the floor ,and what for? the fear of standing on my own two feet. just not quite sure how to make ends meet. so set me free cause, this is what i need. this life is like a blade, that cuts me till i bleed. i see skeptical sights,of what they call free. with a mind to express what i believe. so much pain has crossed this face. to so many eyes,such sweet disgrace. theres time for change however late,so don't be late. i am myself i am my own man. past is past i know where i stand. so set me free cause this is what i need. wisdom holds the future,knowledge is the key. |
